Andre Matos ' legacy will be celebrated in a live stream this Wednesday, June 8th, with members of Angra, Shaman, VIPER , and other bands.
Organized by the creators of the documentary Andre Matos, the Maestro of Rock , the live broadcast will take place on the anniversary of the farewell to the icon of Brazilian heavy metal, who died three years ago, in 2019, at the age of 47.
Confirmed guests include Marcello Pompeu and Silvio Golfeti from Korzus , who will discuss the Thrash and Metal scene of the 80s; the Black Jack Bar – Andre Bastos, Christian Passos, Carlão , and Marcos Nazareth – who will talk about Metal from the 90s and the Black Jack scene; Amilcar Christófaro and Mayara Puertas from Torture Squad , who will discuss extreme Metal and the current Metal scene; and Leandro Caçoilo , vocalist of VIPER, who will talk about the future of Metal and what it was like to replace Andre.
There will also be surprise guests and musical performances during the breaks between each segment, featuring Yves Passarel, Rafael Bittencourt , and Hugo Mariutti . The live stream 'Celebration of a Legacy' takes place on Wednesday at 8 PM.
