This fall in the Northern Hemisphere, two bands with strong female vocals will join forces for a joint tour: Evanescence and Halestorm . The groups, led by Amy Lee and Lzzy Hale respectively, will reunite starting November 5th in Portland, Oregon, and return to the stage after more than a year.
The two vocalists are longtime friends and, according to Amy Lee, met in 2012 when they did their first tour together. “I remember we had some kind of press conference or meet & greet to do that day and I went in to say ‘hi’ before the fans arrived,” the Evanescence spokesperson said in an interview with Matt Pinfield . “We hit it off immediately.”
The singer continued to shower Hale with praise, describing her as a kind-hearted “professional” who “keeps her things in order” and has her priorities clearly defined. “She’s very humble and down-to-earth. She doesn’t take all the glory too seriously. She takes herself seriously and respects herself. She’s a really cool person,” she stated. “We love each other and get along well.”
In 2020, Amy Lee made a guest appearance on the series Raise Your Horns With Lzzy Hale , where the two friends and artists sang the Halestorm track " Break In, " from the album The Strange Case Of… (Revisit the video here).
