Evanescence 's vocalist , Amy Lee , used her Twitter account to joke and praise Bring Me The Horizon .
The note begins by saying, "If you quote me, I WILL SUE YOU!"
The phrase that seems aggressive is actually a joke that came with wishes of success and praise for Oliver Sykes .
The story begins when Evanescence threatened to sue Bring Me The Horizon for accidentally plagiarizing the 2017 song "Never Go Back".
In an interview with NME , Sykes admitted that Bring Me The Horizon's song "Nihilist Blues" was indeed similar to the sound of Evanescence.
"We copied one of their verses. It was unintentional, so much so that when they contacted us, we didn't even question it."
Lee was credited as a co-writer of "Nihilist Blues," and therefore Evanescence did not pursue legal action.
The confusion brought the two bands closer together, and now she will participate in the song "One Day The Only Butterflies Left Will Be In Your Chest As You March To Your Death," a track that will be featured on Bring Me The Horizon's new album, Post Human: Survival Horror .
Amy Lee says the collaboration helped her overcome a creative block.
"It was a really fun way to escape that brief moment of paralysis I was experiencing, and it inspired me," commented the Evanescence vocalist.

Amy Lee ends the post saying: “The whole story is so cool. I can’t believe it brought us HERE. You deserve all the good things that happen to you. Congratulations!”
