Amoeba Music needs financial help and has to move from its legendary Hollywood location.

"The only thing we know for sure is that we intend to survive," the network's announcement said

Amoeba Music the largest independent record store chain in the United States, is feeling the effects of the COVID-19 crisis firsthand.

After having to ask customers for financial help through a large online fundraiser , which has already reached $224,000, the store announced that it will have to move from its most famous location in Hollywood. The decision, however, was already planned before the pandemic, but a farewell to the legendary location will not be possible due to COVID-19.

“The only thing we know for sure is that we intend to survive. We want to continue being there for our amazing customers and our incredible team in our new location, long after this pandemic is gone. The only way to keep Amoeba Hollywood alive in the future is to make this difficult decision now,” said the announcement on Amoeba’s social media.
