Alter Bridge announced its own festival this Wednesday, the 13th. The Blackbird Festival will take place on June 27, 2026, at the historic Cardiff Castle in Wales.
The event also marks the band's return to Welsh territory after more than seven years, as well as the celebration of more than two decades of their career.
In a press release, vocalist Myles Kennedy commented [via The Point ]: “We realized we hadn’t played in Wales for over 7 years. To make up for lost time, we thought it would be cool to do something even more special. That being said, we are very happy to announce The Blackbird Festival.”
Kennedy added: “This not only celebrates more than twenty years of the band's existence, but it's also a way to show our gratitude to the fans in Wales who have patiently waited for our return.”
The festival has confirmed the bands Skindred, Florence Black , and Cardinal Black ; more acts will be announced. Tickets will be available for pre-sale on August 21st at 9:30 AM (local time). General sale begins on August 22nd on the event's official website .
