Metamorfose , by the Bahian pop rock band Alquímea is now available on all digital platforms . The project is the follow-up to their debut album Flower Power , released in 2017.
In Metaformose , the trio composed of Geo Benjamin (guitar and vocals), Petão (bass) and Álllefe (drums and keyboards) decided to explore a more conceptual side and address evolutionary themes, revisiting the concept of the New Age or Age of Aquarius, which speaks of the individual transformation of the human being towards the collective.
The 6-track album mixes original compositions, such as the lead single "Peça a Vez," with covers that have been given a new twist in Alquímea's sound, such as the classic composition by Raul Seixas , Paulo Coelho , and Marcelo Motta , "Tente Outra Vez," and the track "É," by Gilberto Gil.
Regarding the concept of Metamorphosis , guitarist and band leader Geo Benjamin commented: “Life must always be improved with new values. Always trying to get it right. Always trying again. The next minute makes the previous minute disappear, and so we will always have the chance to try again, to change our minds, to change our concepts and to evolve, to live experiencing this Walking Metamorphosis, as Raul Seixas said.” Listen to Metamorphosis through the Spotify player at the end of this post.
