The quintet Allen Key , after releasing four singles, has made their highly anticipated debut album, The Last Rhino, available for listening.
Produced, mixed, and mastered by Wagner Meirinho at Loudfactory studio in São Paulo, The Last Rhino contains eight songs with heavy, versatile, and captivating melodies. “Our music has a lot happening at the same time, but everything is logical, which gives precision and punctuality to the composition. We want all audiences to listen to Allen Key,” explains Karina Menascé, the group's vocalist.
Explaining the album cover and title, she says: “The rhinoceros story is an analogy to Allen Key's journey: the band being born and living.” The singles also came with covers featuring rhinoceroses. “On the cover of 'Goodbye,' for example, there's the symbol of cancer, which alludes to the drummer's wife's fight against the disease, which she won! In 'Love You More,' there's a baby rhinoceros, female and male, which refers to the birth of William [ Moura , bassist] daughter.”
Besides Karina and William, the group consists of Victor Anselmo (guitar), Pedro Fornari (guitar), and Felipe Bonomo (drums).
