Jason Richardson replaced Oli Herbert on tour
All That Remains has officially recruited Jason Richardson as the replacement for guitarist Oli Herbert , who died in October.
Today, the band released a statement on social media. “All That Remains would like to make it clear that guitarist Jason Richardson is now an official member of the band. Some recent interviews were conducted before we made or announced a decision. But the band does, in fact, welcome Jason as an official member and is excited to get back on tour.”.
Vocalist Phil Labonte spoke about Jason's addition to the European tour . “Well, we toured with Born Of Osiris when Jason was in the band. He and Oli became friends,” he said. “I’m not sure how long they stayed in touch. But I know they hung out, talked about guitar, and listened to music. When Oli died, Jason did a cover of him playing 'Chiron'. Then Aaron Patrick [the bassist] came to Jason and said, 'You sounded really good. Would you be interested in joining if we need you?' He said, 'Yeah, man, I’d love to.' He did a wonderful job. He made everything easier in terms of grieving. He took the pressure off that kind of thing. The more pressure you can relieve, the better.”
