Alissa White-Gluz

Alissa White-Gluz discusses the difference in sexism between heavy metal and pop music.

The interview can be viewed below.

Frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz, during Arch Enemy's current tour with Trivium, when asked about what it's like to be a woman in a male-dominated scene like Heavy Metal, said:

"In general, the people I meet live are really nice people – always very respectful, happy to be there, happy to enjoy the music."

Honestly, I don't care about pop culture, I have absolutely no interest in it, so I don't know what women in pop music are subjected to..

Of course there are always obstacles because you're a minority, but it's something you learn to deal with. I've always been a woman [Laughs], so I'm used to whatever comes with it.”.
