Alissa White-Gluz's solo album still has no release date.

Arch Enemy vocalist Alissa White-Gluz is composing her first solo album via Napalm Records. The album will feature guest appearances from members of Arch Enemy, Kamelot, and Misfits.

In an interview with Music Feeds, Alissa spoke about her plans for a solo career. “I never had that idea, ‘I want to be a solo artist.’ I don’t – I like my band – but, as many of you know, [the other Arch Enemy members] Sharlee [D'Angelo] and Michael [Amott] have Spiritual Beggars, Jeff Loomis has his solo career, and Daniel [Erlandsson] also has other projects, so we all have side projects, and this is kind of a side project for me when Arch Enemy inevitably takes a break at some point. To keep our brains creating, and I think it’s healthy to explore the other side and not just focus one hundred percent on Arch Enemy, so it’s something I’m basically doing whenever I have time. In the process of writing now, and I’m counting on the collaboration of a lot of friends from other bands, I’m going to record and release it through Napalm Records, and I’m really looking forward to it.”

“It doesn’t sound like Arch Enemy – it’s quite different – but I think it’s really cool ,” she said. “For example, a song I’m writing with Oliver [Palotai] from Kamelot, it doesn’t sound like Kamelot or Arch Enemy, but it’s a bit of both.”

The album does not yet have a release date.
