Alissa White-Gluz released her new single "The Room Where She Died" last Sunday, the 23rd, which will be part of her first solo album.
Composed by Oliver Palotai , keyboardist of KAMELOT , Alissa recorded and wrote the song. The singer also performed all the vocals, in addition to creating the script for the music video, produced by the Serbian company iCODE Team .
Alissa commented: “I hope you enjoy this first taste of my upcoming solo album. 'The Room Where She Died' is a song that brings me a feeling of true satisfaction. I feel like I can express myself in so many ways that have been dormant for years. This next album is diverse. And I love the idea of opening this new chapter with this song and video, for which I wrote the script.”
Just hours before the announcement of her solo career, Arch Enemy had announced the departure of vocalist Alissa White-Gluz , who had been with the band since 2014.
Alissa White-Gluz began her career in The Agonist , a Canadian band she helped found in 2004 and with which she released three albums, standing out for her guttural vocal technique combined with clean passages, something still uncommon among female metal frontwomen at the time. In 2014, after years of internal conflicts and conflicting schedules, Alissa left the band to join Arch Enemy, replacing Angela Gossow . Her debut album, War Eternal, marked a new phase for the Swedish group.
