Singer and actor Alírio Netto has released the first bonus track from his live CD and DVD, The Journey So Far (2019), on digital platforms. The unreleased songs chosen are reinterpretations of “Who Wants to Live Forever” and “Love of My Life,” hits by the band Queen . Recorded in São Paulo, at the Teatro Porto Seguro, the show was filmed by Foggy Films and produced at Fusão studio .
Currently, the vocalist is part of the band Shaman , replacing the late Andre Matos . However, the show also features songs from his solo career and other bands he has been in, as well as special guest appearances. “This show was a milestone in my career, where I could express with my friends all the moments of my more than 20 years on the road. It was a special show that I can now release to those who enjoy my work,” he commented in a statement released to the press.
Always citing Queen as a reference in his life, Alírio not only participated in the official musical, We Will Rock You , but is also part of the band Queen Extravaganza , which celebrates Queen's legacy. Roger Taylor , Queen's drummer, even heaped praise on the singer: "Alírio is not only a superlative singer, he is also a great showman ."
