Aline Happ, from Lyria, releases music video for her first solo single “Flower Of Light”.

The folk/Celtic-sounding song speaks of the singer's grief over the loss of her grandmother.

After raising over 200% of her crowdfunding goal, Aline Happ , vocalist of Lyria , finally releases the music video for her first original single, "Flower Of Light".

Over the past year, the singer has promoted gothic, folk, and Celtic-style reinterpretations of various rock and metal songs from around the world, with covers ranging from Metallica to Linkin Park . Now, with "Flower Of Light," Aline Happ launches her solo project, paying a touching tribute to the memory of her grandmother, who passed away last month.

Always mentioned in the artist's interviews, Aline Happ's grandmother was one of the biggest supporters of her music career, which made the pain of grief even stronger. This was also the singer's first experience losing someone so close, and she hopes that the song can bring peace "to everyone who has also lost someone."

“I felt I needed to immortalize my grandmother, and music has that power,” reflects Aline. “My grandmother was a wonderful person, and I want her to always be remembered. I wrote this song for her, with a message of love and hope. I hope she can hear it, wherever she is. In the song, I call her lily flower, which is one of my favorites (I think that was already known, since my band's name is Lyria), and I also discovered that her name means lily and light.”
