Tom DeLonge's alien movie, from blink-182, gets a trailer; watch it.

This is the guitarist's film debut.

Tom DeLonge will make his directorial debut with the film Monsters of California . The film, which premieres in the United States on October 6th, has released its trailer, which you can check out at the end of this article. The film does not yet have a release date in Brazil.

The story follows a group of teenagers who begin investigating a series of paranormal events in their neighborhood on their own, ultimately uncovering secrets kept by the United States government.

“The film takes my fascination with the inexplicable, combines it with the skate culture I grew up in, and throws in my ridiculous sense of humor that millions witnessed during my blink-182 days,” director DeLonge said in a statement.

He adds: “In recent years, I’ve been fortunate to help the government remember how much they care about UFOs through the work we do at To The Stars, and it was that experience that helped inspire this film. I can’t wait for audiences to see this adventure.”

The cast includes Richard Kind ( Curb Your Enthusiasm ), Casper Van Dien ( All American ), Arianne Zucker ( Days of Our Lives ) and Gabrielle Haugh ( Grown-ish ).

DeLonge will also be composing original music for Monsters of California .

Tom DeLonge back with blink-182

Blink-182 announced in February 2022 that Tom DeLonge was returning to the band after being away since 2015, replacing Matt Skiba . Following this, the group released the single "Edging" . Now, they are preparing a new album, which will be their first with this lineup (Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus , and Travis Barker) 2012 EP *Dogs Eating Dogs

The band was scheduled to come to Brazil to play at Lollapalooza 2023, but had to cancel their trip due to drummer Travis Barker .
