Last Wednesday, the 10th, Alice In Chains returned to the stage for the first time in 3 years.

The band kicked off their North American tour with Bush and Breaking Benjamin in Pennsylvania, at The Pavilion. This was the group's first show since September 2019, when they last performed in Seattle.

Happy with the return, bassist Mike Inez shared some photos of the performance on Instagram and expressed his satisfaction with the result. “Incredible first show after 3 years. It was good to make some noise. Thank you Pittsburgh and everyone present tonight,” he wrote.

Information about the new album

In an interview given in April (via Blabbermouth ), vocalist William DuVall spoke about Alice In Chains' plans for a new album, the successor to Rainier Fog (2018).

At the time, the singer seemed to think that everything was still quite uncertain and that the band would gradually get back into shape after the years of isolation caused by the pandemic.

“Right now, we’re coming out of our quarantines and we’ve all been busy with our own projects. Jerry is touring with his solo album and I’m doing my own thing. We have plans for shows in September and October and I’m sure that will kick things off and we’ll start getting ideas for the next Alice in Chains album,” he stated.

While we wait for new music, you can check out the setlist and videos from the band's show on Wednesday night:
