Alice in Chains has cancelled all shows scheduled for May 2025 due to drummer Sean Kinney . The band had previously cancelled their show at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, but his condition did not improve.

The band issued a statement explaining that the decision was carefully considered (via Blabbermouth ):

 "After careful consideration and following the advice of medical professionals, we have made the decision to cancel our upcoming festival performances and headlining shows."

They go on to say that, despite being excited about the performances, Sean's health is the priority at the moment.

"Although the problem requires immediate attention, its long-term prognosis is positive."

When cancelling the show last Thursday (8), in Uncasville, the band had communicated about the musician's state of health, but without further details until now.

“Sean experienced a non-life-threatening medical emergency” after the band's soundcheck that night.

In addition to their May performances, the band is scheduled to play at Black Sabbath's final show , which will take place on July 5th in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
