Alice Cooper has released a new version of the song "Elected" and made available a manifesto announcing his candidacy for Prime Minister of Great Britain.

The original version of Elected is on the classic 1972 album “Billion Dollar Babies,” and today’s re-release came with a statement that reads, “Alice Cooper is tired of the rhetoric – the dirt – of media interests. He has decided to put away the snake and the guillotine and put the people ahead of his own career. Alice Cooper wants to be elected .

The manifesto continues: “Alice Cooper has a platform that every voter will identify with. He is asking fellow Americans, British friends, and all people around the world who are disillusioned with their leaders to join the Wild Party .

Among his various campaign promises, Alice Cooper pledges in his manifesto to "bring Brian Johnson back to AC/DC" and also to "change the name of London's famous landmark from Big Ben to Big Lemmy .

He also wants to "put actor Peter Sellers' face on the £20 note" and "ban selfies, except on National Selfie Day, which I will create," the vocalist declares.

The official statement concludes by saying, “Troubled times call for a troubled mind. These troubled times call for Alice Cooper .
