Alice Cooper is yet another artist to express support for Iron Maiden into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame . The list of Iron Maiden supporters already includes names like Rob Halford and Tom Morello .

During a Q&A session aboard the Rock Legends Cruise in February, Cooper stated which band he would push to get into the institution. His answer: Iron Maiden (via Blabbermouth ).

“Come on – Iron Maiden. How could you even think of underestimating them!? The band has its own army of fans around the world!”, he declared.

The vocalist also defended the inclusion of Burt Bacharach , stating that the pianist wrote "as many hits as the Beatles and yet he's not in the Hall of Fame ."

Cooper also commented on the inclusion of Bad Company.

In the same session, Alice Cooper also spoke about Bad Company into the institution in 2025.

“In the business, we call [Bad Company vocalist] Paul [Rodgers] 'the voice' because he's simply one of the best singers out there and one of the nicest guys ever. He's had some physical issues lately, but I certainly voted for him.”

Iron Maiden and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Iron Maiden has been eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 2005, the year the band's debut album celebrated its 25th anniversary. However, the institution has never recognized the group due to its history of conflicts with heavy metal and its subgenres.

Iron Maiden applied twice, in 2011 and 2023. Despite this, the band never showed interest in joining the institution. Both Steve Harris and Bruce Dickinson , the band's founding bassist and vocalist respectively, share this opinion.
