Do you dream of retiring? If so, that's a dream you and Alice Cooper don't share.
In an interview with Heather Brown of KZZK radio, when asked if the pandemic had influenced his thoughts about retiring in the near future, the artist replied, “Not at all. That word doesn’t exist in my vocabulary. A long, long time ago, I said that if I came to your city and did a show and nobody showed up, well, then I know it’s over for me.”
“At 72, I didn’t expect to be in two touring bands,” says Cooper. “And the [Hollywood] Vampires are exactly like my band – everyone in the band is best friends. You have Johnny Depp, Joe Perry and me – three alpha males – and we’ve been together for six years and I’ve never heard an argument. Everyone says, ‘Okay. Good idea. Let’s try this.’”
