Happy birthday to the legend, and none other than, Alice Cooper ! Today, the artist turns 73, but of course, it's the fans who get the present with the single "Social Debris".

The unreleased track arrives in a special way, being available for free download for 24 hours in celebration of Cooper's birthday, and also accompanied by a music video, further increasing the anticipation for the artist's new album, Detroit Stories , which arrives later this month, on February 26th.

“The single 'Social Debris' is a gift to Detroit, to my fans, and to myself,” Cooper tells the press. “The track was written by Alice Cooper’s original band. We never thought we would fit in; Alice Cooper’s band didn’t fit in with anyone, because we were doing things that no other band was doing. We didn’t fit into the folk scene, we didn’t fit into the metal scene, we really didn’t fit into anything that was happening at that time. We always felt like we were from somewhere else.”

“We felt like we were social debris, we were in our own little world. So, 'Social Debris' was just the original band writing a song about us, essentially. And it felt like it belonged in 1971. That's just the original band – you can't change that, it's great.”
