According to Alice Cooper , the Beatles "definitely" would have reunited if John Lennon hadn't been murdered in 1980.

Alice used to hang out with both Lennon and Paul McCartney separately, as they were both part of his drinking club, the Hollywood Vampires. According to him, they were still "best friends," even outside the band.

In an interview with QFM96 , Alice Cooper was asked if the Beatles would have reunited if John Lennon had survived, and his answer was emphatic:

“Absolutely. Here’s the thing: When they were fighting over the band’s breakup and everything, if anyone in the Vampires said anything bad about Paul, John would punch you because that was his best friend,” Alice recounts.

“If anyone said anything about John to Paul, Paul would leave the room. He would just get up and leave. Because nobody is allowed to talk about their best friends. They were best friends, regardless of what was happening at that moment,” Alice Cooper concludes.

The Beatles officially ended in 1970 when Paul McCartney announced he was leaving the band and that the entire group would disband. Each member went on to pursue their own solo career after the split.
