According to an article on Blabbermouth , Alice Cooper gave an interview to radio station Rock 100.5 where he revealed that if he had to choose a band to be a part of, he would choose the Foo Fighters.
Cooper didn't hide his admiration or his personal reasons for the choice, claiming that when musicians play Alice Cooper's songs, they play them "exactly like the band." "I mean, it's incredible," he commented. "I did a lot of things with the Foo Fighters, and a lot of their influences were Alice Cooper. The guys in the band said they learned to play listening to our early albums, so when I get on stage with the Foo Fighters, they kill it on my songs – they play them exactly how they should be played. So I'd probably be in that band if they ever needed a really badass vocalist," he concluded.
The positive comments didn't stop there. Alice Cooper also took the opportunity to praise drummer Taylor Hawkins Dave Grohl 's skills on the same instrument. “First of all, they have the two best drummers. People keep forgetting that Dave Grohl… The first time I saw Nirvana , I walked right past the other two guys and said, 'Who's that drummer?' because he was so good; he stood out. And I said, 'If this band ever breaks up, I'm going after that drummer.' I did some things with Taylor Hawkins' band too, and he really is something else,” said Cooper.
Alice Cooper's most recent album was Detroit Stories , released in February, but the artist hinted at planning something new by saying that his next album will be the first with the current lineup of his solo band.
