Alice Cooper responds to Gene Simmons about rock being dead: "Kids are learning hard rock now"

The musician doesn't believe Simmons' claim that the genre is dead.

Gene Simmons , from Kiss Alice Cooper responded . According to the singer, the genre is not only very much alive but is expanding.

“I wish Gene Simmons would pay my taxes because he’s a businessman and that’s valid, but I guarantee you that somewhere in London, in garages, there are kids discovering Aerosmith and Guns N’ Roses right now,” Cooper said in an interview with NME .

Alice continued: “There are a lot of 18-year-old kids out there with their guitars and drums learning what hard rock is. And the same thing happens in the US: there are all these new bands that want to revive that hard rock phase.”

With his newly released album, Detroit Storieswhich is doing incredibly well on the Billboard charts – the singer emphasized that "rock and hard rock are far from over and will continue to exist for at least another 30 or 40 years."
