Alice Cooper reunited with the original lineup to release the new album, The Revenge Of Alice Cooper . This Wednesday, the band released the second single, “Wild Ones,” as well as a music video from Banger Films .
The track is apparently inspired by László Benedek 1953 film, The Wild One. The first single, "Black Mamba," was released last April 22nd on the radio program Alice's Attic .
This is the first album with the original lineup since Muscle of Love, from 1973. The album will be released by earMusic on July 25th, and produced by Bob Ezrin , who worked on the band's classics from the early 70s, Love It to Death , Killer , School's Out and Billion Dollar Babies.
In an interview with Billboard , Cooper said: “It was like this was our next album after Muscle of Love … Isn’t it funny after 50 years? Suddenly, everything falls into place.”
The band reunites the original members: Not only vocalist Alice Cooper, but also guitarist Michael Bruce, bassist Dennis Dunaway, and drummer Neil Smith.
The album also includes a special guest appearance by Glen Buxton , who died in 1997 at the age of 49. Dunaway and Buxton created the song "What Happened To You" from a riff on an old demo tape they made together.
Alice Cooper in Brazil
The artist returns to Brazil for the first time in 8 years, promising a cathartic night full of classics and theatrical performances. The artist will perform on June 14th at the Best of Blues and Rock , in the outdoor area of the Ibirapuera Auditorium. Tickets for the event are available on the official Eventim website.
Cooper's relationship with the Brazilian public is very special, dating back to his performance here in 1974, which became known as "the first great rock show in Brazil".
