Alice Cooper has released a new single, "East Side Story." The track is a cover of Bob Seger's song, which he composed for the group The Underdogs and later recorded with his band The Last Heard in 1966.

Cooper revealed that he only heard the song when producers Toby Mamis and John Varvatos suggested he listen to the material. “I’d never heard that song on the radio. I thought I could turn it into something else,” he said in an interview with Rolling Stone.

“East Side Story” will be featured on the Breadcrumbs , which will be released this Friday the 13th by Cooper. The work will include other covers performed by the musician.
