Alice Cooper , Lzzy Hale of Halestorm , Gavin Rossdale of Bush , Bishop Briggs , and Tosin Abasi of Animals as Leaders will be judges on No Cover , a new music competition program announced by Hit Parader, which will be recorded at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles, the stage for great moments in music history such as Elton John Metallica 's first performance in the city.

Among the many other programs that seek out the next big musical talents, No Cover stands out by highlighting artists and bands who write and record their own original music, not covers.

“I can hardly wait for No Cover ,” says Alice Cooper. “For me, a band isn’t really a band unless they’re writing their own material, and if you know anything about me, you know I have a very high standard not just for the songs, but also for the performance. I’m looking for the band that has it all, the one that can not only write and play, but perform and make me believe.”

The winner of the first season will receive prizes including a recording contract with Sumerian Records , representation from UTA booking agency, management from Shelter Music Group , high-profile festival slot(s) via Danny Wimmer Presents , studio time at Nightbird Recording Studios Gibson equipment , brand endorsements, licensing opportunities, and much more.
