Alice Cooper 's twenty-first album , Detroit Stories , is finally here.
After several singles such as “Rock & Roll”, “Our Love Will Change The World”, “Social Debris”, the full album tells the story of Cooper, born and raised in the city of Detroit, who returns to his roots to explore the sounds and veteran names that helped popularize American hard rock.
“Los Angeles has its own sound with The Doors , Love , and Buffalo Springfield . San Francisco had the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane . New York had The Rascals and The Velvet Underground ,” Cooper lists.
“But Detroit was the epicenter of angry hard rock,” he clarifies. “Detroit seemed like paradise for misfits. When they found out I was born in East Detroit… we were home.”
