Black Antenna will have ten episodes that will form the complete film
The first two episodes of Black Antenna Alice In Chains ' film project , have already been released. Inspired by the sound of Rainier Fog , Black Antenna is directed by Adam Mason .
He created a 90-minute science fiction film that will unfold in 10 episodes/videos. Each episode will feature a song from the album, with the first one being released on New Year's Day.
“I’m a longtime fan of the band,” Mason said. “This was an opportunity to do something new and inspiring from the independent filmmaking side. And the sound and vision between the album and the film are closely related. It was a brilliant synergy that led to a unique project.”
Drummer Sean Kinney also commented on the film. “We always joked about the idea of creating videos for every song on an album. Not only did we do that with Rainier Fog, but we went overboard and turned it into a movie. Everything seen in the videos will be footage from Black Antenna, which is preparing the full release of the film.”
