Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain for the Metal Sticks podcast , Alex Van Halen revealed that he has started working on a new album.
Van Halen 's drummer Toto 's guitarist , Steve Lukather . "I'm getting ready to record an album with Lukather and some other people. It's going to be really cool."
Last March, Toto's guitarist denied that he might record a new Van Halen album. The rumors surfaced after the Netherlands' largest newspaper, De Telegraaf , reported that the drummer was working on finishing a collection of unfinished Van Halen songs and that Lukather was helping him.
In an interview with Guitar World, Alex said that “ Eddie [ Van Halen ] and Steve Lukather were great friends and collaborated frequently. There’s no one else who could do this job with me as well as he could.”
