The long track is part of Fu Manchu's new album

Fu Manchu and Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson have teamed up to release the track "Il Mostro Atomico".

The 18-minute track is part of the album Clone of the Universe , which Fu Manchu released this Friday, the 9th.

Speaking about the collaboration, vocalist and guitarist Scott Hill revealed that after composing part of the song, the band learned that Alex Lifeson wanted to be a part of the project: “So we sent him the track and told him to play whatever he wanted. He sent us the track with incredible riffs with sci-fi elements. The song became 10,000 times better and cooler! I can't wait to play this 18-minute track live.”

The band's twelfth studio album was released by At The Dojo Records and marks their first work since Gigantoid in 2014.

recently revealed that there is no possibility of Rush reuniting, "We have no plans to make new music together. The band is basically over. After 41 years, we feel it's really over."
