Bon Jovi bassist and founding member Alec John Such has passed away at the age of 70. The news was confirmed by the band's official social media accounts and by Jon Bon Jovi . The cause of death has not yet been revealed.

"We are heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of our dear friend Alec John Such. He was one of the originals. As a founding member of Bon Jovi, Alex was an integral part of the band's lineup," the announcement said.

Alec John Such was in the band for Bon Jovi's first 5 albums, which include the band's biggest hits such as "Runaway" on their debut album, which was their first commercial success. He remained in the band until the album Keep The Faith (1992).
