Brazilian singer Alax William, has released "Maybe Next Year," a new single from his solo project dedicated to southern rock.

The track arrives after a period of intense work, during which the musician released three albums: Sounds From The Dirt Road (2025), Still Knows My Name (2025) and All I'll Ever Need (2026).

According to Alax, the new work perfectly summarizes this artistic direction. “'Maybe Next Year' is a song about what we put off. It talks about family, time, regret, and understanding that some opportunities don't come back. The idea is to remember that simple life, love, and the people who walk with us are worth more than any promise left for the future,” he concludes.

In “Maybe Next Year,” this path appears directly. The song talks about someone who postpones visits, conversations, and gestures of affection until realizing that “next year” may never come. Alex states that he seeks to “spread the message,” establish himself as one of the pioneering names of the style in Brazil, and open new opportunities for the genre in the country.
