The cause of death has not yet been released
Golpe de Estado guitarist Hélcio Aguirra passed away this Tuesday, the 21st, at the age of 56 in his apartment in São Paulo.
The body was found by Aguirra's sister, who said the guitarist died in his sleep. The official cause of death has not yet been released.
Aguirra formed Golpe de Estado with Nélson Brito, Paulo Zinner, and Catalau in the 1980s. The band released 8 albums, the last one at the end of 2012.
According to the guitarist's cousin, Aguirra's body will be cremated at the Vila Alpina Crematorium, in the eastern part of São Paulo.
