After Forever announces a single show in Brazil for October

The band will perform at Tokio Marine Hall on October 16th in São Paulo

After Forever has announced a return to the stage in Latin America after 20 years, with a stop in Brazil on October 16th at Tokio Marine Hall in São Paulo. Ticket information will be available soon.

The Dutch symphonic metal band, which disbanded in 2009, returns to the country to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album Decipher and the 26th anniversary of their debut album Prison of Desire .

In a press release, vocalist and guitarist Sander Gommans commented on the celebration of the band's first two albums.

“2025 was a milestone for the band. 25 years since After Forever left a timeless mark on the world of symphonic metal with their debut album, Prison of Desire . Its successor, Decipher, released in 2001, took the band's music even further, fusing progressive elements with a heavier sound that helped shape symphonic metal as we know it today. These two releases marked the beginning of a wonderful journey that took the band to international stages and into the hearts of fans worldwide,” he said.

“In October 2025, After Forever reunited for two shows in the Netherlands with vocalist Angel Wolf-Black (SheWolf). The aim was to honor and celebrate the band's beloved music and its lasting impact in an unforgettable live experience. During these shows, it became clear that we all missed After Forever.”.

The return to Latin America

The founding member of After Forever also spoke about returning to South America after 20 years.

“Latin American fans have supported After Forever since the release of their first album. And we are very happy to announce that we will continue this tribute in 2026. We will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Decipher , the 26th anniversary of Prison of Desire , and perhaps also include some other After Forever classics. Join us as we revisit old hits, relive the energy, and celebrate the legacy of After Forever.”

The band's last visit to Brazil was in 2006, at the Live N' Louder .
