After canceling their show at Monsters Of Rock in São Paulo last Saturday, Motörhead says they will perform in Curitiba tomorrow, the 28th.
Motörhead was forced to cancel their show at the festival due to vocalist Lemmy Kilmister's stomach problems. In an official statement posted on Facebook, the band declared: “Due to a digestive issue, unfortunately Lemmy cannot perform in São Paulo. He is feeling much better now and is ready to continue the tour in South America. Next stop, Curitiba! Lemmy regrets the inconvenience and is eager to make it up to the fans.”
On Sunday, guitarist Phil Campbell posted another message on Twitter: “It’s a shame we couldn’t play yesterday at Monsters Of Rock because of Lemmy’s digestive problems. See you in Curitiba.”
The Motörhead frontman has been having health problems since 2013. Recently, the rocker said in an interview that he had considerably cut down on cigarette smoking and stopped drinking Coca-Cola: “I think Coca-Cola is terrible. Now I drink vodka with orange juice.”
In addition to the show in Curitiba, Motörhead has a performance scheduled in Porto Alegre on the 30th.
