The Rio de Janeiro bands Affront and Gangrena Gasosa have been confirmed for Rock in Rio on September 2nd, a day dedicated to heavy metal, which will also feature performances by big names in the genre such as Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Dream Theater, Sepultura and more.
The groups' performances will take place at Espaço Favela. Affront will play from 5:55 PM to 6:55 PM, while Gangrena Gasosa will close the night.
thrash metal band Affront will be playing songs from their first two albums, Angry Voices (2016) and World in Collapse (2019) , as well as unreleased tracks from their upcoming album, scheduled for release in the second half of 2022.
Gangrena Gasosa, which blends elements of heavy metal with hardcore while highlighting the influence of Afro-Brazilian culture, will perform songs from throughout their career, which spans thirty years and four released albums.
