The concert production company Estética Torta is facing criticism after canceling and rescheduling approximately 50 shows across Brazil.
According to a report by CBN, the problems have been occurring since November of last year, causing the production company to accumulate more than 500 complaints on the Reclame Aqui. The main point of criticism is the way the cancellations and postponements took place.
The most recent case involves the Pink Floyd UK tribute show The , Wall. Theproject had dates scheduled in Brazil between February and March. However, one day before the start of the tour, the performances were rescheduled for August without any explanation. The Nightwish Symphonic Tribute is also on the list. Customers are still questioning the difficulty in the ticket refund process, as is the case with Jéssica Sardinha and the tour of the Cuban orchestra Buena Vista Social Club, which was supposed to take place between November and December 2025.
She said she was on a bus on her way to Joinville, the location of the performance, when she saw an announcement from the production company on Facebook saying that the show was canceled. The new date would be in the middle of this year. However, what is striking is the fact that the orchestra is on tour in Europe during this period.
“Regarding the refund issue, I feel I was misled because, when we learned the information, they said the show would be rescheduled for the second half of 2026. So, we didn't request a refund because I still really wanted to go to the show. But, a few days ago, Buena Vista's tour schedule came out, and Brazil isn't even on the list. In other words, they're not returning to the country this year. Too much time had passed to request a refund, and I believe I'm no longer entitled to it,” she commented [transcription via CBN].
Estética Torta has spoken out about the accusations
Contacted for comment, Estética Torta claimed that it had investments in the recently liquidated Banco Master. According to the production company, the loss of these funds had a “direct impact on cash flow.” The production company also stated that the postponements in question “were isolated incidents and that refunds are made in cases of definitive cancellation” [via CBN].
