Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith , in collaboration with YUNGBLUD , released their new single "My Only Angel" this Friday, the 19th. The track is part of their new five-track EP, One More Time , which will be released on November 21st by Capitol Records .
In a press release, Steven Tyler commented: “When we sang and played together for the first time, there was an immediate, silent vibe throughout the studio… It reminded me of the car wheels vibrating in my seat as the boys and I drove to Boston for the first time, 50 years ago. There was that same deep, intimate pressure of necessity. To do… to do something great… something new and original… and to make it last forever. That’s the rock n’ roll way, baby! Yungblud wants this next chapter in rock history and invited us to be a part of it. We got along great… the vibe in the room was epic from the start… we had a lot of fun… and we were truly honored to write with him! Rock n’ roll becomes timeless when you put your heart and soul into it… that’s where the magic happens.”
This work marks Aerosmith's first new music in 13 years, since the album Music from Another Dimension! in 2012. Tyler's last recording was "I Want You Back" in 2023, a collaboration with Dolly Parton .
Recently, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and YUNGBLUD, along with Nuno Bettencourt paid a moving tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
Steven Tyler announced his retirement from touring with Aerosmith in 2023 due to serious vocal problems. The new single excites fans and marks a possible return for the artist who has only performed in occasional shows, such as the VMAs and Back To The Beginning .
