In a recent interview, Joe Perry spoke about the possibility of Aerosmith doing one last show with the complete lineup.

The band announced their retirement from the stage in August , interrupting their farewell tour, Peace Out Steven Tyler 's vocal cords , which suffered an injury with no likelihood of full recovery. Since then, the vocalist has only performed at private events, such as a benefit concert in San Francisco with a few songs.

In a conversation with Eddie Trunk , guitarist Joe Perry revealed that the band hasn't ruled out the possibility of one last show and that he believes Steven Tyler would be capable of performing a full concert.

“We’re talking about it,” he says. “Apart from our schedules, we’re all alive and well, so we’ll see. I know there has to be at least one more Aerosmith show and I’m not anxious to think about its setlist.”

Future after the tour cancellation

Shortly after Aerosmith's decision to cancel their final tour, bassist Tom Hamilton dismissed in an interview any possibility of the band continuing with a new vocalist. "There hasn't been any talk about it. I can't imagine Aerosmith without Steven," he stated.

At the time, Hamilton also tried to remain hopeful about the group's future. "Maybe one day we can do something again, but it won't be a tour," he commented. "I find it hard to believe that we'll never play together again. I've been surprised by things that have happened to this band too many times to think that the future is closed."

In May, Joe Perry and Steven Tyler performed together at a private event in San Francisco. Along with Nuno Bettencourt and Matt Sorum , they played Aerosmith classics such as "Toys in the Attic," "Same Old Song and Dance," "Sweet Emotion," "Dream On," and "Walk This Way."
