The track was released in 1973 on the band's debut album.

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry reminisced about the beginning of their career in Aerosmith when they played "Movin' Out" during a show in Las Vegas, where they are currently doing a residency with the band.

Perry starts playing the track and Tyler soon joins in with the lyrics “We all live on the edge of town/Where we all live ain't a soul around.” The track was the first that the duo wrote in the early days of their partnership.

Tyler explained that he wrote the song – which ended up appearing on their self-titled 1973 debut album – on a waterbed in the band's Boston apartment.

Aerosmith kicked off their Las Vegas residency, titled Deuces Are Wild , last month and are soon expected to embark on a tour of several North American cities.
