"It's been a long journey, but I'm extremely happy and proud to say on behalf of Aerosmith that we've managed to bring our 50 years of music together under one roof by partnering with UMG."

“This allows us to bring our music to fans in ways that were never possible before. It’s something we’ve dreamed of for a long time. It’s a victory for Aerosmith, UMG, and also for our fans. Needless to say, we are very excited. It’s an incredible way to celebrate 50 years and the many more to come.”

Plans to celebrate the band's 50th anniversary were cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, so now Aerosmith must resume them with Universal.
