Joey Kramer , drummer for Aerosmith , has decided not to tour with the band in order to stay with his family. The news was announced in an official statement from the group.
According to the publication (via Blabbermouth ), he didn't leave the band, he just took a "temporary leave of absence". The band has already announced that Kramer's absence will be filled by his drum technician John Douglas.
Krammer was reinstated to Aerosmith in February 2020 when the group resumed their Las Vegas residency. In late 2019, he sued his bandmates in an attempt to perform with the group at two Grammy-related events.
At this moment, Aerosmith is preparing to resume its residency in Las Vegas . Aerosmith: Deuces Are Wild has 24 dates scheduled at the Dolby Live theater in Park MGM starting June 17th.
