In this week's Wikimetal poll, Iron Maiden's guitar duo Dave Murray and Adrian Smith were voted the best, with 43% of the votes. In second and third place were the duos from Metallica (Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield) and Megadeth (Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman), with 24% and 13% of the votes, respectively.
Together since 1980, when Dave Murray invited his childhood friend, Adrian Smith, to join the band that would transform the lives of thousands of fans around the world, the duo debuted on the legendary album Killers, released in 1981.
