Lambert has been performing with Queen for a decade.

Adam Lambert revealed that he did not consider accepting the role of Freddie Mercury in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody .

The singer, who has been performing with Queen since 2011, said he doesn't think it would be a good choice.

"I don't look like Freddie, I don't sound like Freddie. I sound like myself," he said.

The former American Idol contestant, who made a cameo appearance in the film, also praised Rami Malek . “Rami is wonderful. He’s a great actor. From what I understand, they used bits of Freddie’s studio recordings and combined them with Marc Martel. He’s a Freddie Mercury impersonator. They created a totally new vocal style from that.”

Lambert continued: “It’s really about recreating Freddie. So no, it wouldn’t be me.”

Bohemian Rhapsody was the film with the most awards at the 2019 Oscars .
