The appearance was confirmed by the singer in a tweet, where he wrote "Who is he?", with a laughing emoji. The tweet also revealed that the film will be available digitally on January 22nd.

The moment Lambert appears is the one that shows Mercury talking to his girlfriend Mary on the phone on a road. Lambert, wearing a trucker hat and a beard, gets intimate with the singer in the bathroom.
