In a Facebook post, former Megadeth drummer Shawn Drover confirmed that Act Of Defiance, the band formed by him, guitarist Chris Broderick (also ex-Megadeth), vocalist Henry Derek Bonner (ex-Scar The Martyr) and bassist Matt Bachand (Shadows Fall), is recording new material.
Drover wrote: “I finished my third song today and I’m very happy with it!!!! Chris is working on finishing five songs and Matt is working on some things too. When we finish we’ll pass it on to Henry and he’ll work on the lyrics/melodies, and since he already has a song ready and some ideas in his head it won’t take long for these songs to be written and I can say that so far the material is sounding very strong in my opinion (and HEAVY, of course!!).”
The band's first album, "Birth and the Burial," was released in August 2015.
