In addition to new music, Ace Frehley had been working for years on a new book that will be published in 2026. The former guitarist and founding member of KISS died on October 16th, at the age of 74 .
As reported by Ultimate Classic Rock, the book Aceland: Artifacts and Memories of a Rock 'n' Roll Life has been in production for two years, a collaboration between Ace Frehley and authors Ken Sharp and Julian Gill – both of whom have written and published numerous books about KISS. Currently over 550 pages long, the book includes new interviews with the guitarist, as well as many other interviews with people who have been part of his career.
“We never intended this to be a posthumous release, but it will certainly frame his musical legacy in a very positive way. It’s not a defamatory book and there’s a lot of unpublished material about his bands prior to Kiss,” the authors told UCR .
In a Facebook post , Ken Sharp and Julian Gill stated that the book will be released next year and that fans will love it. “With Ace’s sudden and untimely passing, we are even more committed to delivering a book that honors his enduring legacy.”
“And although Ace, sadly, will never be able to read this definitive chronicle of his musical journey, you, the reader, will be able to. We are close to finalizing the project, but we will dedicate the necessary time to do it in the best way possible. We demand that it be the best possible work. His fans demand it, his family deserves it, and Ace would demand the best.”
