The Guardians of the Galaxy discuss the relevance of listening to Ace Frehley.
This year, Marvel released the blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War and broke records with the film. Today, it is considered one of the highest-grossing films in cinema history.
With just a few days to go before the release of the digital HD and Blu-Ray versions of the film, which will happen this Tuesday, the 31st, one of the deleted scenes that will be included in the material was released online after its official launch at Comic-Con Brazil. In it, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) tries to find a solution to fight Thanos – the villain who is on a mission to eradicate half the population – while listening to “New York Groove” by Ace Frehley .
But not all the Guardians of the Galaxy members want to listen to the track by the former Kiss guitarist. Drax (Dave Bautista) turns off the Zune – a player that Microsoft launched in the 2000s to try and compete with Apple's iPod but was discontinued in 2011 – saying, "The guy who sings this is a degenerate." And then Quill replies: "I'm not going to stand here listening to you slander Ace Frehley.".
The scene was deleted in the final cut of the film because it didn't add anything essential to the plot, becoming one of four scenes that were left out when creating the version that was released in theaters. Watch the scene below.
