Ace Frehley has cancelled two shows that were scheduled to take place this weekend in the United States. They were scheduled for next Friday, the 23rd, and Saturday, the 24th.

The former guitarist and founding member of KISS made the announcement through a post on social media on the morning of last Wednesday, the 21st:

"Hello everyone! I wanted to let you know that unfortunately I will not be able to perform this weekend, Friday, May 23rd, at Brat Fest in Madison, Wisconsin, or Saturday, May 24th, at the Arcada Theater in St. Charles, Illinois."

Although it's nothing serious, I'm feeling unwell and don't feel capable of undertaking the demanding trip or performing to my usual standards this weekend.

I offer my deepest condolences and sincerest apologies for the cancellation. Thank you all for your understanding.

All my love to my fans, Ace.

Ace Frehley and Peter Criss at a KISS event.

During an interview on the show Noize In The Attic , Gene Simmons , bassist and co-founder of KISS , commented that he doesn't rule out the possibility of sharing the stage with former bandmates Ace Frehley and Peter Criss during the KISS Army: Storms Vegas , scheduled to take place in November of this year in Las Vegas.

“I personally invited Ace and Peter to join us on stage at Madison Square Garden [for the final show of the farewell tour]. But they said no. 'I want this, I want that.' 'You can't have this, but join us to celebrate the beginning.'”

The comment reflects a relationship of highs and lows between the original members of the band. Still, Gene Simmons keeps the doors open, even knowing that it doesn't depend solely on him.
