Next Thursday, the 30th, at 11 am (Brasilia time), AC/DC will release the official music video for the song "Through The Mists Of Time," which is part of the band's most recent album, Power Up .
The 2020 album was recorded between August and September 2018 and is a project made in tribute to AC/DC founding member Malcolm Young , who died at age 64 in 2017 due to the effects of dementia. Malcolm is credited on all 12 tracks of the album, as is his brother, Angus .
In a 2020 interview, Brian Johnson spoke about “Through The Mists Of Time”: “The riff came first and Angus wrote the lyrics for that song and I believe he captured everything – the early days, when the band started, when rock and roll was something carefree, when nobody cared about anything other than having fun and playing.”
“All that lovely innocence is lost. And I think the lyrics encapsulated that feeling. To be honest, every time I listen to it I still get chills, and it’s a tribute to Malcolm, 'Through The Mists Of Time'. It’s different. I don’t know if it differs from everything we’ve done before, but it certainly stands out,” he concluded.
